Silkie Chickens Visit Swift and Wagtail

The Reception children in Swift and Wagtails were surprised today by some feathered visitors! We have been learning about positional language through the book Rosie's Walk by Pat Hutchins and were so lucky that one of our families have chickens that could visit us! We were excited to learn about how long it takes for an egg to hatch and loved the chickens funky feathers! It was lovely to see how carefully the children stroked and held the chickens.
