Please find below details of how our Governing body is structured, including the names, categories, responsibilities and terms of appointment for each Governor.
The Governing Body exists to provide strategic oversight to the way the school is run and to be accountable for the decisions made by it. We have one over-riding purpose: to help make Fitzmaurice the best place for our children to learn.
We are comprised of 8 individuals, plus the Head Teacher, representing parents, staff and members of the community. We all voluntarily give up our time to be governors.
Throughout the year we have responsibility for ensuring statutory compliance in Health and Safety, Safeguarding, monitoring academic progress, and recruiting teaching staff amongst many other things.
The current Chair is:
- Kris Arnorsdottir
Each governor has a specific area of responsibility for oversight and monitoring.
The School Governing Body meets once a term 6 times a year. Governors also meet with the School Leadership team and Palladian's CEO & COO.
