One of the perks of being a governor is the occasional sneak preview. This morning I had a quick look at the new Chaffinch and Nightingale classrooms.
They are gorgeous. The space and light is fabulous. The rooms are bright and cheerful. And they are ready to teach in this morning because of the massive effort made by all the staff on Friday afternoon and over Saturday. Displays are up, cupboards are packed, whiteboards switched on, and as I write I bet there are 60 small people staring around in amazement at their beautiful new classrooms. I’d like to publicly thank all the staff who gave up part of the weekend to ensure a smooth transition for these classes. Thank you.
The official opening is scheduled for June once we have all the grounds back, but in the meantime, here are a couple of photos from this morning.
