Term 6 - Home Learning

Weekly Challenge

From now on our challenges will be for the whole school, and can be found on our new Weekly Challenge page.

This week, as we are unable to have Sports Day this year, we are setting you a sports challenge each day !

Videos of New Classroom layouts

We have made videos of the new classroom layouts with details of the new routine for arriving at school.

There are videos for

  • Robins,
  • Falcons and Blackbirds,
  • the Hall, which is where the keyworker children will be from now on.

** New videos added for  Years 5&6, Kingfisher, Swift, Puffin and Dove for the week beginning 29th June.  Swift children will be back in their own classroom. **

You can find them in the Video Resource Centre :

Year 6 : Sorry, we didn't have time to do videos of your classrooms, but if you have a look at the other videos it will give you an idea of what your classroom will look like and the routine for when you get to school in the morning.

The barefootcomputing website has lots of home learning resources to help children learn about computer science during lockdown, and plenty of them don't require screen time !

Literacy Radio Show

RadioBlogging.Net is a daily radio programme that teaches literacy and is aimed at families and schools. It is interactive so that children write and their work is published during and after the show. Each day there are spelling, grammar and vocabulary games, followed by creative writing and responding to reading. The show features a poet of the day and author of the week.

Previous shows are also available to listen to.
