On Red Nose Day children can come to school dressed in their own clothes which includes something red. As the theme of this year’s Red Nose Day is make your face funny if you would like to also decorate your face you may. In return we ask that each child brings in a donation of £1 for Comic Relief. For every red nose we sell at school our local Bradford on Avon Sainsbury’s will give the whole £1 to charity (usually only 60p goes to charity).
Children will have the opportunity to purchase one as the Year 6 children will be taking them around the classrooms.
If you would like your child/ren to purchase one then please send them in with £1.
Going For Green! Eco Volunteers required Thursday 12th March, 3.30- 4.30pm
This spring Fitzmaurice Primary School is going for Green Flag status under the Eco-Schools programme. We have lots of amazing green achievements to show the Eco-School inspectors, such as our new solar panels and compost scheme.
We need your help though to get our grounds squeaky clean and pick up litter in top field, woods and footpath by the school.
Use of the Outdoor Play Equipment After School Please can we remind parents to use the grounds as you would during the day and ensure all litter is put into the playground bins. Use of the equipment after school is at your own risk, and children must be supervised at all times. Thank you.
Additional Gym Club date on Friday 27th March gym club will run from 4pm – 5pm (slightly later than usual) as we need to fit in some practise in preparation for the Gym Festival after the holidays.
Children’s Centre Communal Area. Parents and Carers are asked to be respectful when using the communal area in the Children’s Centre with their children. It is being left messy and untidy in the mornings and at the end of the school day.
Mobile Phone Policy. If you have any suggestions/comments you would like considered please email firstname.lastname@example.org by Friday 13th March 2015.
