Dance Festival

On Wednesday 25th February we went to the Bath Forum to participate in the West Wilts Dance Festival. We were one of many schools and it was a nerve racking but exciting day. We had a practice beforehand in the afternoon, so we were prepared for the big night. All of the dance club had a lot of fun on the stage. We’re glad that it went to plan and we enjoyed putting on make-up and wearing colourful costumes.

Mobile Phone Policy. We are in the process of creating our school mobile phone policy. Working with Year 5 and 6 we intend to look at what should be included in the policy for example responsible use and when they can be brought to school. We would welcome your views on what you think should be included. Please email your suggestions to Thank you.

A change to next Friday’s dinner menu. Please note that it will be salmon & cod fishcakes for lunch       (NOT salmon fish fingers). If you need to change your choice please let the kitchen know by Friday 6th.

World Book Day, Thursday 5th March.

This year instead of dressing up we would like children to take a ‘Shelfie’ and bring it into school.

The ‘Shelfie’ is a picture of your child in front of their favourite book or books, which may be on a shelf. This could be at the library, school, grandparent’s house or their own bedroom. Alternatively they could bring in a picture of themselves reading randomly – a picture reading unusual text maybe a cereal packet, whilst out and about. The ‘Shelfies’ and the random reads will be displayed in school.

red nose

Red Nose Day is fast approaching – Friday 13th March.

Sainsbury’s is the only supermarket where you can buy red noses BUT we will also have them on sale at Fitz from… now! For every red nose we sell at school our local Bradford on Avon Sainsbury’s will give the whole £1 to charity (usually only 60p goes to charity). If you would like your child/ren to purchase one then please send in £1.

On Red Nose Day children can come to school dressed in their own clothes which includes something red. As the theme of this years Red Nose Day is make your face funny if you would like to also decorate your face you may. In return we ask that each child brings in a donation of £1 for Comic Relief.
