Congratulations to Sasha K who competed in the Maidenhead Junior Chess Tournament last Saturday and came first, winning the tournament! On Sunday he also went to Hampshire Junior Chess Congress and came joint 3rd in his age group. Fantastic achievements Sasha!

Harvest Festival & Lunchbowl Collection – On Monday 12th October we will be having our harvest festival assembly. Due to the current success of the Bradford on Avon Foodbank, we have decided this year to support the lunchbowl charity, who help provide food for orphans in Kibera, Nairobi. We would like each child to come into school dressed as something which represents harvest i.e a farmer, or a piece of fruit/veg i.e dressed in orange for a carrot, in return for a £1 donation to be given to your childs class teacher on the day. Each £1 we collect will help provide 3 children with food for a day.
Fitzmaurice PE T-Shirts – Please can all t-shirts be washed & returned to Miss Blake by Monday 12th October.

Thank you so much to everyone who (very sneakily!) contributed to & organised the total surprise gift of beautiful flowers, chocs & afternoon tea (with fizz!) for all the Savages in one of my fave places in Wales. I’m well chuffed!! It was really encouraging to see people signing up for an hour stint at events for the all new ‘Fitz Friends’ last Friday- it looks like the future’s in safe hands!
