Community Notices
The Bradford on Avon Cycling Festival on the weekend of 5 – 6th September 2015 promises to be fun for everyone – from a Hill climb to a Cyclocross race and family rides. Live art, Cycle films, cycle jumble and a wonderful bicycle trail all around the town.
The weekend’s cycling activities will be accompanied by plenty of children’s fun too – Join us to teach your kids the first skills to get on their balance bikes and skills to get them riding as they gain confidence, as well as bouncy castles, face painting and entertainment.
Join us for a fun, friendly cycling festival for the whole family. Whatever your tastes or talents there will be something for you!
We are supporting the Town to further support its residents, working with Alzheimer’s Support, www.alzheimerswiltshire.org.uk, the proceeds of the weekend and any money raised will go to provide day care, a much needed additional resource. We would love to raise £1000, help us raise this amount by joining in the fun! Anything we raise will be matched by Apetito, one of our main supporters of the festival.
The center of the weekend will be in Westbury Gardens, which will host lots of fun events, activities for all the family as well as an information tent, first aid and podium area for prize presentations. The weekend is shared with the Walkers are Welcome Festival, The Moulton Bicycle Weekend and Bradford on Avon Arts Festival.

Emergency Services Show
The Emergency Services Show is an annual community safety and public awareness/interaction event held at Hullavington Airfield, nr Chippenham (Jct 17 M4). This year’s show is being held on Sunday 13 September and is organised and run by a volunteer committee made up from employees of Wiltshire Police, Wiltshire Fire & Rescue Service, South Western Ambulance Service and the Highways Agency. This year marks our tenth show celebration and this week we became a charitable trust.
We receive no direct funding from our respective organisations and the cost of putting on the show is covered through sponsorship and ticket sales.
More details about the show can be found on our website at www.emergencyservicesshow.com.
