Welcome to Dove!
We are a mixed class from years 3&4 and you will find us in the KS2 corridor, in the classroom nearest the hall.
Our teacher is Miss Debbie Moore and our teaching assistants are Mrs McGrath and Mrs Fisher.
We have made a video for non-keyworker children, to show you what Dove class looks like and to explain what you need to do when you arrive at school.
You can find it in the Video Resource Centre :

We began our ‘Lights, Camera, Action’ topic this term with an old fashioned trip to the movies (at school). The children watched clips of some of the first animations ever created for entertainment.
Our writing will draw on the theme of animation. We will be delving into the world of Walt Disney and looking at how his innovative ideas and fascinating career helped to lead to the evolution of the film industry which we know today. Following research, will be using our knowledge of Walt Disney in order to write an information text about his life and career. This also ties in with our History, in which we will focus on how various techniques and technologies have progressed over time, within the film industry.
Our PE day is Monday. Please make sure that your child has a PE with them on this day.
Swimming and Forest School will take place on a Wednesday morning on the following dates:
04.09.19 TO 20.11.19
Children will need a spare change of clothes, including a long sleeve top and long trousers. They will also need a pair of wellies or old trainers, which they don't mind getting muddy. If you want to send your child in wearing their forest school clothes this is fine, but they must have their school uniform to change into for the afternoon.
(Please note - no swimming on 18.12)
