School Council

Our School Council represents the views of all our pupils. It gives children the opportunity to make their voices heard and feel part of the whole school community.

Fitzmaurice School Council has worked hard to represent the voice of Fitzmaurice pupils and to help make a positive difference to Fitzmaurice. Highlights include:

  • New play equipment
  • Producing a Fitz Anti-Bullying poster
  • Becoming learning detectives in classrooms at school to investigate how we are learning and how we can help to improve it
  • Interviewing prospective teachers
  • Buying Christmas toys for disadvantaged children in the local area
  • Establishing a ‘Golden Table’ at lunchtime

The School Council for Fitzmaurice 2015-16 are already enjoying a great start to the new school year. We have all been looking forward to beginning another  new, exciting year at Fitz!  As a council, we are very proactive; our councillors regularly meet with their classes and work together to put forward the pupil voice in our school.
