On march 3rd we dressed up for World Book Day and decorated our classroom door…can you guess which book it is?
On Monday 27th February 2017 we were able to visit the lock in Bradford on Avon, which had been drained for repairs and cleaning. 30 tonnes of rubbish and silt were removed, including lock keys, sunglasses, phones and even a motorbike !
Have a read of the amazing poems we wrote in Literacy on the subject of winter……
We had a fun maths lesson playing the games we all made for homework. The games were designed to help us work on our factors and multiples knowledge.
We spent a whole day on Greek themed art activities, starting with making clay pots in the morning. In the afternoon we used card to make collages inspired by the pictures on greek pots.
We’ve been practising some balancing using our gym apparatus….
Owl class have already been busy creating a new class charter which contains some golden rules which we will strive to adhere to this year. These rules aim to ensure that the classroom environment is a place where the children can be enthusiastic learners who work collaboratively and aim high.
There will be plenty of opportunities throughout the year for the children to get involved in additional curricular activities. It would be great to see all of the children making the most of these opportunities.
I am very much looking forward to some exciting times ahead!
