Parent Governor Election – Thank you to the candidates who stood in our recent Parent Governor Election and all parents who voted. Nicky Locke won the most votes and is duly appointed the new Fitz parent governor with immediate effect. We welcome Nicky to the Governing Body.
Scooter Skills – A reminder that tomorrow (Friday 29th January), those children in yrs 1-4 that have signed up and are participating in the Scooter Skills sessions need to bring their scooters and helmets in to school.
St Laurence Cross Country Challenge – The Open Cross Country Race Challenge is now back to the original date of next Wednesday 3rd February at St Laurence School from 3.45 – 4.45pm. Sorry for the change of date again! If your child wants to compete you will have to take and collect them from St Laurence School. Miss Blake will be at the event to organise the races but the children will be your responsibility during the event. All children in Yr3 – 6 are very welcome. Please see attached flyer.
Lost Property – There is currently a lot of lost property in the boxes in reception. If your child has recently lost an item of clothing or footwear then it may well be worth checking here for the missing items.
Swim Caps – Swim Caps are now available to purchase from the Office for £1.
Shoe boxes required – Year3/ 4 need shoe boxes for a design project next week. If you have any, please do bring them in!
Puffin Class Dance Festival – Please could all consent forms be returned as soon as possible.
Tag Rugby – Tag rugby club will continue to run for 3 weeks only after half term in readiness for the forthcoming rugby tournament. These 3 sessions however will be held on a Monday.
Sainsbury Vouchers – We are again collecting the Active Kid vouchers from Sainsbury. Please put any vouchers in the box in reception. Thank you.
Messages from Debbie Lewis – Children’s Centre: Please pop into the Children’s Centre and complete their short survey on where you think would be the best places in BOA for Centre staff to offer services to parents when the Centre building closes this summer – Fitzmaurice is one of the options.
Incredible Years Course: there has been a delay in the start of this course – it’s not too late to contact Debbie to join the current course on Monday afternoon next week – useful for parents and carers interested in exploring the use of play to support their child’s social and emotional skills and who want to explore ways to help their child manage challenging situations. Contact Debbie 07783823011 or email@example.com.
Our latest news and diary dates will be available in our monthly newsletter, due out on Friday 29th January via ParentMail.
