FSA Questionnaire: We are very keen to get your feedback on events and fundraising. Please return your completed questionnaires by Monday 20th July. Thank you.

 

Fitz Picnic! Tuesday 21st July 3.30-5.30pm

Grab your picnic and rug…free inflatable assault course, organised games and free ice-cream for each child! We hope to see you there for fun in the sun. NB: no alcohol at the picnic please.

 

FSA Roles

We are looking for someone to become the new FSA Chair from September 2015. Julia will still be on hand to advise and assist as needed. We are also looking for someone to take over the Secretary role please. Nothing too strenuous, just a bit of note-taking and some emails… If anyone is interested in either role, please contact Julia or leave a note with school office labelled FSA.

Swindon Town Football in the Community Summer Coaching Course 4th – 6th AugustThe football in the community development week offers opportunities to boys and girls aged 5-15.The week enables children to make new friends, and develop skills and techniques whilst engaging in a fun and safe environment. There are opportunities to win prizes and everyone goes away with a goodie bag on the third day. These development weeks enable staff and scouts to recognise and identify local talent to enable youngsters to progress on to the centre of excellence programme. The Bradford on Avon Sculpture Garden is back!   Our Opening is on Saturday 18th July, from 6-10pm, with music from This Side of Paris. Also local poet, Dawn Gorman, will be listening and talking to visitors, weaving their responses to the exhibition into poetry, which we will hear later in the evening. Should be fun! Tickets are £5, either in advance via the boa arts festival website or on the gate, to include a glass of wine. The exhibition continues until Sunday 26th July , 11am-6.30pm,  (closed Monday) with late night opening Friday until 9pm. £3 entry. Venue as before, Lynchetts, 15 Woolley Street, BA 15 1AD There will also be two or three sculptors demonstrating their skills on the second Sunday afternoon. Hope to see you there!

DESIGN A GRAFFITI STYLE T-SHIRT Weds 19 at The Vaults, Bradford, 10am til 1pm. Any age, under 8’s with an adult – £11Create your own designs and use graffiti style techniques and stencilling and masking methods to turn your t-shirt into a wearable work of art. Book early to choose from a range of t-shirt colours and sizes (add £1 for long sleeves)

ANIMATE A SHORT ‘GREEN SCREEN’ FILM

Weds 19 Aug at The Vaults, Bradford on Avon. Both venues 2pm til 5pm – 8 yrs or over – £11. We’ll start by showing you hints and tips for modelling your character, then bring it to life using stop motion animation. We’ll animate our models in front of a green screen, which means you can set your film anywhere you like – outer space, in a cave, under water…
