Cake Sales

Once a year each class organises a cake sale in the hall after school, ably assisted by volunteer parents.  The money raised buys items that the class would like but could not otherwise afford to buy.

Friday Oct 13th 2009 was Robin’s Cake Sale.  They made a record £161, helped by raffling this wonderful cake, very kindly donated by one of our parents,  Mandy Dunn.  You can see more of Mandy’s handiwork (or even order a cake!) at www.bbcakes.co.uk

FSA Christmas Event 2009

This year the FSA held a pre-Christmas event for families, for everyone to have fun and get into the Christmas spirit.  Despite the bitterly cold weather, there was a great turn-out and everyone enjoyed themselves.

Even Father Christmas found time to call in
Mingling!
Hot chocolate and mulled wine (and yes, that is Black Rat!) helped to keep the cold at bay.

Snow!

This winter’s snow posed quite a challenge to the start of term 3, but thanks to the efforts of our site manager and a group of parent volunteers who helped clear the access road, paths and car park, we only needed to close the school for one day when the second swathe of bad weather hit.

Football Success!

February 2010 saw our football team become West Wilts Champions and go on to compete in the Wiltshire County Finals.

Team talk worked!

FSA Pop Quiz

Another sold-out evening of brain-teasing, head-scratching and karaoke-style singing, which incidentally raised over £600 for the school!

These are tricky questions!

Strawberry Fair 2010

The Strawberry Fair, on Saturday 19th June 2010, was yet another fantastic success! We’ve topped last year, not just in terms of takings (which were extraordinary), but in terms of seeing so many people having a great time and the fantastic team work that went into making the day happen so brilliantly. Thanks again to Mel Pike, Julia Savage and all the FSA Committee who did masses in the preparation and on the day, and to anyone who contributed to the event in any way at all, that is what makes Fitz such a great school!

Japanese Choir

On Monday 29th March 2010, we had a fantastic visit form the Japanese choir.

The Summer Music concert, held on Wednesday 7th July 2010, was yet another successful evening at Fitz. The choir and instrumentalists performed brilliantly.
